Jakarta – Waste management is an environmental challenge that requires cross-sector collaboration. Realizing the importance of this synergy, on Wednesday, 8 July 2026 SKALA Indonesia Foundation have a meeting with Director of Waste Management and Reduction, Ministry of the Environment (KLH), Mother Dr. Report Mardalina, M.Sc., to discuss various opportunities for cooperation in strengthening sustainable waste management.
The meeting took place in a warm and productive atmosphere, with a focus on various strategic issues, starting from the current state of waste management, strengthening community-based waste management, to the importance of multi-party collaboration in presenting impactful solutions. Besides that, the discussion also highlighted the need for public education, changes in people's behavior, development of innovation at the regional level, as well as increasing the capacity of local governments and communities.
The SKALA Indonesia Foundation believes that sustainable waste management cannot be carried out by one party alone. A strong partnership between governments is needed, Public, business world, academy, media, and civil society organizations to drive real change.
Through this meeting, SKALA Indonesia hopes to build wider collaboration in supporting efforts to reduce waste generation, circular economy development, and creating a cleaner environment, Healthy, and sustainable.
