Scale Indonesia and Disasterchannel.co Hold Journalism Training for 20 Big Winner of the Writing Contest with the Theme Me and the River

Monday, 31 July 2023 it was such a fun day for the winners 20 large writing competition themed Me and the River. This writing competition was held by disasterchannel.co and supported by the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management Indonesia (A-PAD Indonesia).

This journalistic writing training was delivered by Prasidono Listiaji, Editor In Chief agendaindonesia.com. The man who is often called Inod opened the training by stating, There are three types of language literacy, read, write and speak. Since childhood, we have only been emphasized on the reading aspect, while writing and speaking are not practiced well.

Writing is done to record information, document ideas, ideas or memories. Writing can also be done to express yourself and also for entertainment. Sometimes, when you want to write, we are always fooled by various things, starting from having no ideas or writing material, even to the point of confusion because there are so many things to write. Problems in starting the writing process can be solved by exploring ideas and making a written outline.

Inod shares tips and tricks to survive until the end of the story when we want to write, in the following explanation:

  1. Check the logic and sequence of the story
  2. Shop for writing materials by collecting data, people's stories, news related to ideas and outlines.
  3. Look for story hooks. Our writing will get attention if it is related to a story or article that is currently viral
  4. Arrange related sources, starting from figure or person sources as well as data sources
