Urban Communities for Resilient Action Program (STRONG), is a program to increase community capacity to be able to independently lead disaster risk management in high-risk areas. The STRONG program is a three-year funded projectUnited States Agency for International Development(USAID) which is implemented through a consortium consisting of Miyamoto, Wahana Vision Indonesia (WVI), dan Catholic Relief Services (CRS). This program is run in Jakarta, Line. Tangerang and Kab. Bogor. In its implementation in Cibinong District, carried out in two sub-districts, namely Nanggewer and Pondok Rajeg Villages with implementing partners the Indonesian Scale Foundation.
10 Subdistricts in Cibinong District Agree to Form KSB / THE EPISODE
Previously, All sub-districts in Bogor Regency have declared their participation in the Disaster Resilient District program (DATE) on 2 July 2024. Follow up on this, The KUAT Program together with Cibinong District held the activity "Exhibition of the Achievements of the KUAT Program and Socialization of Disaster Resilient Districts in Cibinong District". This activity was carried out to form effective and efficient collaboration between various parties in creating resilience in Cibinong District.
To be called a 'Disaster Resilient District', various kinds of disaster risk reduction efforts and collaboration from various actors in various sectors are needed. Therefore, The KUAT program with the Cibinong District encourages all parties, good from the government, education units, business institutions and community representatives, to be able to participate actively by establishing a joint commitment by forming a memorandum of agreement regarding the formation of KSB or DESTANA.

Head of Cibinong District, Drs. Acep Sajidin M.Si said "When talking about Disaster Resilient District, disaster must start from the sub-district first."
“If the lowest level is not strong enough to handle disasters, "Then the sub-district is also unable to deal with disasters.". continued Acep.
After the Head of Cibinong Subdistrict explained the aims and objectives of organizing this activity, The event continued with a presentation regarding the achievements of the KUAT program. During the running process of the KUAT program, The Indonesian Scale Foundation has facilitated the community in various ways, starting from Disaster Risk Assessment (FIREPLACE) participatory way, formation of DESTANA/ KSB, and create a Disaster Management Plan (RPB). From the good practices of disaster risk reduction efforts that are already underway in Nanggewer and Pondok Rajeg subdistricts, it is hoped that they can be adopted and disseminated to form a Disaster Resilient District. (DATE).
The KSB group of Nanggewer Village and the DESTANA group of Pondok Rajeg Village explained the process of running the KUAT program at the community level. This is done to provide an overview of the process that forms the resilience of a region. These two groups explained that there were many benefits from implementing the KUAT program. Some knowledge regarding disaster management is provided, can be understood and put into practice when a disaster occurs. However, They hope that the disaster risk reduction activities they have been carrying out so far will not stop when the KUAT program is finished. Therefore, they want the disaster management plan that has been formed to be integrated with various programs at the sub-district level and can be supported by all stakeholders present.
In line with this,Head of the District BPBD Preparedness Team. Bogor, Ponco Sugianto said "KENCANA is a movement initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, If the sub-district has a Disaster Resilient Village/Subdistrict (THE EPISODE), Of course, this will increase the value of the Minimum Assessment Standard (SPM) for the sub-district."
BPBD Kab. Bogor responded that integration could be carried out by starting it through KENCANA technical guidance which will be carried out in August.
Signing of a Memorandum of Agreement on the establishment of a Disaster Preparedness Village (KSB) or Disaster Resilient Village/Subdistrict (THE EPISODE) in Cibinong District is an initial step to increase regional resilience.
